Servant Leadership Program at CSU
|
August is always an exciting month because we start a brand new academic year at Columbus State University. I eagerly anticipate the return of our current Servant Leadership students, and I can hardly wait for the Freshman Retreat. On August 12-14, Stuart Rayfield, Director of the CSU Servant Leadership Program, and I will take the 17 incoming freshmen students to FDR State Park. The students will be joined by four seniors in the program who will serve as their mentors throughout the upcoming year. The retreat allows for the freshmen to get to know each other and to bond as a class. They will participate in a variety of teambuilding activities and will learn more about volunteer opportunities. The retreat culminates with a Kick-off Luncheon where all of the current students come to welcome the new class and begin the new year. Look for pictures from the retreat in our next issue! For more information on the Servant Leadership Program at Columbus State University, feel free to contact me at kparker@pilink.org or 706-568-2160. I'd be happy to talk with you about the program and the amazing students!
Have a great month!
