Introduction to Coaching
January 28-29, 2010

Participants will be introduced to how coaching relationships are structured, and a variety of coaching resources and tools will be provided. Coaching principles and practices will be disseminated through experience and practice. Personal application and reinforcement of coaching principles will be utilized.
Servanthood and Leadership Coaching
April 29-30, 2010

Leadership coaching under a variety of titles including professional coaching, executive coaching, life coaching among others, has emerged as a powerful force and resource for helping individuals, organizations, congregations and systems realize their fullest potential. Coaching is about empowering the other person and enabling them to discover and fulfill their goals and dreams. Coaching is committed to helping others become self fulfilled in their work and their life. It is leading others to discover their fullest potential and live this out daily. The term Servant Leadership will be thoroughly developed as a basis for the coaching relationship
Team Coaching
July 29-30, 2010

A team is characterized by shared vision and leadership, definable goals, clear roles/responsibilities and an effective process.  Otherwise the group is a board or committee, not a team.  Quality relationships displaying respect, trust and enjoyment for one another are essential.  A team also has a positive plan for addressing conflict.

Coaching teams requires the ability to build a strong sense of consensus, and the ability to handle such distractions as monopolizers, the withdrawn, and the angry. This session will support the development of specific skill and tools for working most effectively with teams.
Coaching and Community
October 28-29, 2010

Coaching is an art. It is developed over time. The essentials principles and practices are useful for a wide variety of settings.  For those in the business or non-profit world, we are called on to lead and work with a large cast of participants from wide and diverse backgrounds. This session will provide application for utilizing coaching skills beyond the expected. Whether personal relationships or in volunteer leadership participation, how do you know what is best? Through adult learning techniques participants will receive coaching suggestions to apply to their own setting.
